At home in Nature

‍What does it mean to feel at home in a new place?

At Home in Nature invites people who are new to London or the UK, and anyone seeking connection with others, to slow down, step outside, and find a sense of belonging in the living world. Over six weeks, this outdoor nature-connection programme brings people together in one or more of London's green spaces. This is a chance for participants to pause, breathe, and pay attention; to notice the changing season, share stories, and build friendships. The programme creates a supportive environment where people can feel part of a community and at home in the natural world around them. Drawing on research, nature-connection practices, and learning from past participants, the programme is facilitated and designed to nurture connection between people, nature and place in simple, meaningful ways.

'When we listen, nature has so much to teach us'

  • Quiet wandering and noticing
  • Individual or group nature-connection activities
  • A refreshment break with herbal teas and snacks

Unsure about coming along?

Expect a warm welcome!  We understand that attending something for the first time can be full of uncertainties. Many people have come to the At Home in Nature programme on their own, and during each session we take steps to make everyone feels like they are seen and heard.  There will be a chance to meet the facilitator on a call before the course begins and, if they wish, to be buddied up with another participant for the sessions.
