Join us for a longer ‘special edition’ of Listen to the World celebrating the rich musical traditions of Afghanistan brought to us by the talented Kabul-born, and London based singer and musician, Homayun Sahebezai and friends. The evening will be filled with songs in Farsi and Pashto, accompanied on harmonium, tabla and dholak, mandolin and Afghan’s national instrument, the rubab.
During the interval we’ll be serving Afghan snacks of sweet pastries and stuffed flatbread, Bolani.
We’re delighted to be collaborating with Afghan Association Paiwand on this event hosted in the weeks leading to Refugee Week.
