About Daria Kulesh and Marina Osman

Daria Kulesh

Mixing her Eastern roots with Western folk influences, Daria creates an original and exciting sound, full of passion and magic – a celebration of her Russian and Ingush (North Caucasus) heritage. “Bold, exotic, impressive” (fRoots), “haunting and enigmatic” (The Times), she shares stories and songs that are deeply personal but feel universal and timeless. Every performance is an “emotional, compelling and uplifiting experience” (Carn to Cove).

“One of the finest voices and one of the most intriguing and interesting songwriters on the present folk scene” (Mike Harding)

“Breathtaking voice. A true star” (Folk Radio UK)

Daria’s exciting collaboration with the extraordinary pianist Marina Osman offers a fantastic variety for every listener mixing languages, stories and musical styles from folk to classical, with a helping of jazz.  Also known as ‘Firebirds’, Daria and Marina  showcase passionate, virtuosic musicianship and heaps of heartfelt, infectious energy.
