Raising money

After the IRA bomb St Ethelburga's was a ruin with not a penny in the bank. We have have come a long way, but we have not so far managed to accumulate suprpluses to build up any financial reserves. We continue to depend on goodwill, voluntary work and continual fundraising.

It costs £300,000 a year to run the Centre and we need additional funds for new projects. In 2011 we aim to raise £200,000 to expand our work beyond the centre -  through a youth programme, community reconciliation projects, more Tents and international partnerships.
