An evening to connect with old friends and new, and to celebrate how we have strengthened our community over the last year.
This festive season, St Ethelburga’s is delighted to be launching a new monthly devotional open mic sessions, hosted by Sunday Assembly’s Sam Weatherald, featuring St Ethelburga’s own resident spoken word artist, Kishan Shah (also known as Spoken Thiiird) and Sara Zaltash (whose performances have been deemed “a radical act of worship” by the New York Times).
What is a devotional open mic? It is an open stage for you to come up and share your experiences of faith and spirituality in whatever creative, performative way you feel called to. Come and share your songs, poems, stories, ideas and invocations with the warm-hearted witness of your St Ethelburga’s friends.
Sara and Sam’s devotional open mic was a huge hit with our young leaders in 2018, and St Ethelburga’s are proud to invite them back to host this inclusive and welcoming space for the wider community.
St Ethelburga’s is a ‘maker of peace-makers’. We inspire and equip individuals and communities to contribute, in their own particular contexts, to activating a global culture of peace.
