Local Londoners

People interested in getting to know newcomers and showing hospitality

Welcome to our monthly gathering bringing new Londoners, those who left their homes to seek safety and a new life here in the UK, and local, settled Londoners together for an afternoon of connection, networking, conversation and enjoyment.

Are you a local, settled Londoner who is interested in getting to know newcomers, showing hospitality and having conversations, and sharing your passion for this city?

Did you leave your homeland to seek safety and build a new life here in the UK? Do you feel at home in London?  Would you like to meet people who have been living in London for a while and know their way around?

Then come and co-create an exciting, creative community where our shared humanity is more important than any label of refugee or asylum seeker; where all have a place to exchange and share passions and talents.

Event begins at 12noon and will include:

  • Welcome
  • Facilitated connection making
  •  English conversation session
  • Live music
  • Free Vegetarian lunch
  • Workshop  – Catching the thread of our hopes and dreams
  • Exhibitions

This month we are delighted to welcome special guests:

Please register (above) so we can organise lunch for everyone.  For more information, contact Jo on Whatsapp 07935 646814

A few more details:

  • The event is suitable for adults and for parents and guardians to bring children and young people (remaining with their parents or guardians)
