For this Month's fellowship discussion we are led by the Revd Peter Owen-Jones. After the service we come together to ask how our faith supports peacemaking in our own lives.
Come and discuss what ‘humility’ means for our times. How can we confidently act from a place of humility and love?
St Ethelburga’s Centre for Reconciliation and Peace is consecrated for Christian worship. Our Christian Fellowship meets on the first Thursday of the month for Holy Communion at 12:30 pm, followed by a discussion at 1:15pm. Members are invited to pray regularly for our work and to become peacemakers and agents for reconciliation in their own lives.
All are welcome; whether you work nearby and would like to explore faith away from the office one lunch time, to individuals and groups from local churches. You are most welcome to come and can drop in at any time during the event. If you would like further information about the service or to ask questions, please feel free to contact email@example.com. After the service, we will create a space to explore through discussion the role of faith in the peacemaking in our lives, facilitated by our chaplains.
The Church of England has an open table, if you are would rather not take communion please do not hesitate in coming for a blessing or to sit and pray in your seat.
St Ethelburga’s is a ‘maker of peace-makers’. We inspire and equip individuals and communities to contribute, in their own particular contexts, to activating a global culture of peace.
