Making a point of stillness
We value the power of silence and stillness as tools to bring us closer to peace, both inwardly and outwardly. We endeavour to bring space for silence into our work in a number of ways:
- By meeting once a week as a team to share silence.
- By offering weekly meditation groups from within the Buddhist, Christian and Sufi traditions.
- By bringing moments of silent reflection into our dialogues and discussions to see if this can deepen the process, by allowing feelings to be digested and allowing a new quality of discernment.
- By offering workshops exploring how meditation can be a tool for working with conflict inwardly.
- By offering workshops on mindfulness techniques in the workplace and for dealing with conflict or strong emotion.
- By bringing mixed faith groups together for devotional and contemplative events, some of which involve creative use of the arts.
- By offering support and ideas to employers who wish to offer meditation opportunities to their staff as a well-being resource.
