Conversations for the Soul

Conversations for the Soul is an interfaith tandem dialogue programme.  It brings people of different faiths together to meet in pairs and discuss beliefs and practice in depth.   It allows for a different quality of conversation that can be deeper and more satisfying than dialogue in groups.

We have found Conversations for the Soul to be a valuable and enjoyable programme which has the capacity to generate sustainable friendships and connections across differences.  It is suitable for use by local faith communities and interfaith groups, and also works well with young people.  St Ethelburga's has worked with the NUS to deliver Conversations for the Soul on university and college campuses.

If you would be interested in trying out Conversations for the Soul in your own communities, contact Marianne

Marianne can deliver the programme in your area, facilitating the group meetings and supporting the participants through the complete process including follow-up.  All you need to do is help recruit participants.
Alternatively, you can attend a one day training workshop and learn how to deliver the programme independently.

Evangelical approaches to other faiths

We want to support Evangelical parishes in building authentic relationships to people from other faiths and open up a space for discussing challenges, opportunities and concerns of engaging in interfaith dialogue. On 8th July 2010 we hosted a consultation on “Interfaith Encounter from an Evangelical Perspective”.

If you want to share your thoughts or read what other people think please click HERE to visit our blog on this topic.
